Compulsory Earth Insurance in Turkey which is generally known as DASK* protects belongings against earthquakes and all other related destructive effects of earthquakes such as fires, explosions, tsunamis and landslides.
Within the scope of property ownership law (no. 634), buildings constructed as dwellings, private and state real properties are subjected to compulsory earthquake insurance since 27.09.2000. The compulsory earthquake insurance is regulated by the Turkish Natural Catastrophe Insurance Pool (TCIP).

DASK / TCIP Statistics in Antalya and Turkey
The statistics of TCIP shows that there are currently 355,030 valid policies of 610,140 residences located in Antalya. In other words, the compulsory earthquake insurance rate in Antalya is 58.20% which is slightly higher than the country-wide rate of 57.90%.
